The Story of
A Child's Garden

A Child's Garden started in 2009 as an afterschool program and soon grew to include preschool children and then infants.  The program has expanded from a Large Family Childcare Home to a licensed Child Care Center.

A Child's Garden believes that children learn most effectively when they are doing.  When a child's hands and body are in motion, the brain is learning.  The children's learning is embedded in the environment and the teachers facilitate this discovery.

Compassion, understanding and looking for the positive motivation behind every child's action and trying to meet those needs are a major emphasis within the program.  Mistakes are an opportunity to learn.
